Meet the 2021 S6 Brew Crew

J.J. Guemes #63 - Manager
J.J. Guemes, known in his younger days as "J2G", was born deep in the heart of Michigan's upper peninsula. In 2018, J.J. entered Major League Redditball as a free agent towards the end of Season 2 as a consistent but light-hitting infielder. Over the next two full seasons, he emerged as one of the league's more consistent at the plate, batting above .350 both years over 30 games. Highlights of his playing career include a Silver Slugger and NL All-Star appearance in Season 3, and a minor-league championship with the GM-run Lemon Lake Lemons in Season 4.

Towards the end of Season 4, J.J. was nominated to replace Hans Ali as the Brewers' general manager. He inherited one of the least-winning teams in the sport, and spearheaded a team rebranding and roster overhaul with the help of team captains. Now entering what will hopefully be his first full season as manager, he hopes the reinvigoration of his team plays out in the diamond and looks forward to finally challenging the dreaded Chicago Cubs for the division championship. He has largely stepped away from the playing field, except in the minors where he has struggled both offensively and on the mound.

Velvet Scarlatina #87 - RHP
A free agent signing during the S5/S6 offseason, Velvet Scarlatina brings a veteran arm to the rotation. He's an "uppity pitcher who can copy anyone's pitching style as a party trick" and he also likes carrots.

Hudson Hildebrandt #23 - LHP
A second pitcher acquired through free agent during the S5/S6 offseason, Hudson Hildebrandt has made a name for himself in MLN. Hudson Hildebrandt is the President and CEO of Hildecardi Rum, and lives by the philosphy that "Only bad pitchers throw up"

Sandy Zipp #16 - Outfield
Sandy Zipp comes to Milwaukee as an off-season trade from the Oakland Athletics. He'll be prowling the outfield bringing a good veteran presense to the plate and the clubhouse. Born in the desert, you can always find sand in his hair. Sandy plays solely in a zip up sweater.

Dick Sledge #1 - First/Right
Milwaukee's first pick of the S6 draught.

Betardo #15 - Left/Right
Milwaukee's second pick of the S6 draught.

Gerald McCoy - Catcher/Third
Milwaukee's third pick of the S6 draught.

Gerald McCoy - Second/Right
Milwaukee's fourth pick of the S6 draught.

Theodore Charmsek - Third/Second
Milwaukee's fifth pick of the S6 draught.

Ferret Mcgivins #6 - Catcher/First

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Ferret McGivins grew up idolizing Craig Biggio and Jason Kendall. It took longer than most players, but after decades of hard work and practice, Ferret received a scholarship to catch for the Louisville Cardinals during FCB season 5. While at Louisville, he slashed .333/.400/.956, including a 2 for 3 appearance in the Futures game where he was awarded Player of the Game pushing the winning run across the plate with a triple.

Ferret was taken as the 2nd player in the 2nd round of the MLR Season 5 draft, by the Milwaukee Brewers, where he has played as a DH and Catcher, while testing out short on the minor league team the Waukesha White Claws. Ferret plans to develop a 3rd position at either 2nd or in the outfiled (in keeping with the career path of Biggio).

Known as the old man around MLR, Ferret still likes to mix it up with the kids, and can be spotted in a pickup game of Alexball, or regaling the younger crowd with tales of the previous century. Ferret has a family and an 11-year-old back home whom he misses greatly while on the road, but he's so happy to be playing fake professional baseball and takes nothing for granted.

Paddy O'Connor #88 - Shorstop/Second
Time Traveler or Psycho with a false persona? No one knows, but they do know one thing. Paddy O’Connor claims to be a baseball player from the 1900’s that played alongside the likes of Honus Wagner and Ty Cobb while winning the 1909 World Series. We will just have to take his word on that. Paddy is a small ball contact hitter that likes to be a player-manager in MiLR like the good ole days of yore.
